Stephen Brammell recently announced that he has joined Spectrum Gaming Group’s online gaming advisory team to help out with state lotteries, commercial operators and tribal governments. Brammell, who was the former general counsel to Caesers Entertainment, and Spectrum joined together because the company is gearing up for the possibility of online gambling becoming legal in the United States.
“Steve Brammell understands the intricate relationship between laws and regulation and business models, and he has deep experience in helping operators identify significant business opportunities and working with governmental agencies in many domestic and foreign jurisdictions,” said Spectrum managing director Michael Pollock.
Brammell will evaluate online gaming opportunities and find the best places for the company to start its venture. He will work closely with the senior vice president for market research, Eugene Johnson, to identify a market strategy and establish loyalty programs for the players for when the online gaming destinations are up and running.
What do you think of Brammell joining with Spectrum Gaming? Do you think they will eventually expand to online roulette, poker or slots, or just stick with lottery?
