Even though the legalization of online gambling in the U.S. is looking like more of a possibility each day, there many still be some obstacles that will get in the way for players waiting to wager on online roulette, poker and blackjack. According to Casino City Times, there are a few items that can ruin online gambling in the U.S., and they could be caused by the gaming industry itself.
First off, if a federal policy is made, it may slow the process, or end it altogether. States themselves have a much better chance at regulating gambling without ruining the framework. If New Jersey and California don’t act this year, it is unlikely they will in the next few years.
Also, leaving the Native Americans out of the legislative process could negatively affect the process greatly. Finally, if only poker is covered by federal legislation it could spell doom for online gambling, as not all states can incorporate online poker.
Do you think that any of these will deter online gambling from becoming possible in the United States? Do you think it will end up being a state-regulated industry or federal-regulated?
