Most gamblers already know that online roulette is one of the more exciting games to be found at online casinos, yet a new study is showing that they may also be the most popular. Officials at British e-gaming giant Sportingbet recently decided to conduct a survey of punters at a number of sites across the internet to determine what the most popular games were for virtual players, and few were surprised to learn that roulette was selected as the best performing game on the net.
Table games occupied all of the top spots on the list, with blackjack and Texas hold ’em taking the second and third spots respectively. The study proves the adage that classics never go out of style, as newer and flashier games failed to outperform the tried and true games that inspired people to gamble in the first place.
In the online slots category, however, the opposite was true, as newer games like Call of Duty and Deal or No Deal placed well ahead of more traditional slots and unbranded puzzle games.
