Many people know that employees at restaurants will sometimes use features of a customer to remember who is who at all the tables. Descriptions such as “blue dress” or “elderly man” will sometimes show up on the receipt when it is time to pay. One casino in California has recently gotten themselvs into some trouble by referring to one table in the restauarant as “fat girls.” This incident took place at the Cameo Casino Restaurant on December 6th.
The customers were offered a 50 percent discount on the bill when they complained to the manager at the bar, but they decided to pass on that offer. After the customers went public with their story on Facebook, the manager of the Cameo Club Casino was forced to post an apology. Maggie Lewis called the incident “intolerable”, and this will probably be the last time that her employees use an unflattering description to describe a group of customers.
