Although online gambling has yet to catch on in the United States, many local casinos are in the process of taking their experience to the next level. In particular, legislators in North Carolina recently hinted that they are considering adding live dealers to Harrah’s Cherokee Casino.
The Asheville Citizen-Times reports that Governor Bev Perdue may get authorization to make the move, and many advocates believe doing so could provide an economic boost the Tar Heel State, not to mention a significant improvement in the casino’s service.
In addition to being a popular move among local casino-goers, the move was lauded by the casino executives as well.
"I look forward to finalizing a negotiated agreement in a timely manner so that we may be well-prepared to present an amended Tribal Gaming Compact at the start of the September 12 legislative session," principal chief Michel Hicks told the news source.
Live dealers have been growing in prevalence online as well. In fact, popular website Casinator recently launched live dealer online roulette.
