New bill to change UK gambling taxes

There have been many efforts to switch up the tax policy when it comes to online gambling in the UK. A new bill is now being put forward by Matt Hancock which will change the current tax situation, according to GamblingKingz.com.

Now, the gambling group's location is what gets taxed, and not the location of the player. This new bill homes to change that in an effort to lessen the high taxes these groups have been seeing. There are only two gambling groups left in the country – Bet365 and Coral. However, Coral is planning on leaving the UK if nothing changes, as there is no advantage to being in the UK rather than an offshore company.

"That seems like a topsy turvy situation because offshore creates no employment," the chief executive of Gala Coral, Carl Leaver, told the news source. "We want to see all offshore gaming taxed in the same way and at the same level as onshore. If not, then there is no way we would continue to see ourselves disadvantaged in this way."

Do you think that the new bill will pass? Would this increase the chances of you playing your favorites such as online roulette or decrease it?
