Connecticut Governor Dannel P. Malloy recently announced that he thinks that online gambling will inevitably reach the state, and that its main focus is not to try to stop it but to find a way for it to succeed with the state’s two casinos, according to The Associated Press.
"It’s a national decision that has largely already been made. So the question is, what do you do to defend the tens of thousands of jobs directly and indirectly tied to those two [tribal casinos] and I think that’s a legitimate question and that’s one of the things that we’re considering," Malloy told the news source.
Many states appear to be gearing up for online gambling, as it is expected players will soon be able to play their favorite online roulette, poker or blackjack.
What do you think would be the smart move for Connecticut? Do you think that jobs will be hurt by online casinos or do you think it could open up more opportunities?
