Casinos across the United States are bracing for the legalization of online gaming, and they will not be left behind. According to The Day, Foxwoods, which is owned by the Mashantucket Pequot tribe, has been in talks of developing an online platform if it is legalized.
"The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation has been investigating the possibilities of internet gaming given the significant momentum and discussion it has garnered recently in the U.S. As part of this, representatives of Mashantucket have spoken with numerous major Internet gaming companies worldwide to understand the business and analyze partnership opportunities, but will not comment on any of those discussions." Bill Satti, the tribe’s director of public relations, said in a statement.
Foxwoods is not the only casino which is in talks of doing some online gambling, as the Mohegan tribe, which owns Mohegan Sun, is also discussing the possibility of bringing their poker, roulette and blackjack to the internet, the media outlet reports.
