Organizations in California are taking another approach to showcase how popular online gaming is in their state by creating free online poker rooms, according to the Sacramento Bee.
"This is pretty much what online poker would look like as a real money game," Ryan Hightower, a spokesman for the California Online Poker Association, told the news source. "It will absolutely serve as an example of the popularity of online poker in California."
The California Online Poker Association is a group of cardrooms and casinos that supported Senate Bill 40, which was created to legalize internet poker. Even though these free online gambling sites do not profit from creating these pages, it is building loyalty to the site so if it is legalized in future, it will be the first stop for many, the media outlet reports.
According to OnlineCasinoReports, there is a large number of California residents who are in favor of legalizing Internet gambling, which will allow players to participate in online roulette, poker, blackjack and other classic games once again.
